I'm an Isaaq but I'm also a realist. If the U.N. that has some of the elite superpowers couldn't make China budge I doubt we as a small nation could do anything to persuade the powerful China to leave Uighurs alone

The question is, will Somaliland do that?

Politics trumps moral, and at this sensitive moment of time, i do not think "squaring up to china" will gain any benefit to the people of Somaliland nor the Muslim Chinese. More or less its gonna affect Somaliland in the long run.

Currently, China ain't really involved in Somalia like that. And how can Somalis look at other Muslims to help, when we cannot help ourselves. Big Muslims countries should care for Muslims lives, but do they?
No. So if they don't, what makes you think Somalia/Somaliland can change anything.
