Possible early history of jabart in jeddah

I found this post where this guy talks about the excerpt from this book. I didn't realize there was such a deep connection between jeddah and the nisbah jabart

Apparently one of the famous Sarah Abdullah ibn abbas practiced seclusion in the first mosque in jeddah with a group of jabarts with him.

The beginning of Islam basically since Abdullah ibn abbas is a sahbah
You misunderstood it , the author says quoting another source says that our master Abdullah ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه used to do ictikaaf in this mosque.

then he mentions that now in his time a group of Jabart do ictikaaf there... and the author was alive in the 11th islamic century so this is something like 16 miladi I think

Damn I guess the Google translation is way off.

Its still interesting how many sources in Arabic mention somali nisba's. You'd think with how many somalks know arabic somebody would use them in writing a somali history book.

The blame is one the account owner, as he is the one who tried to make it look that way. Even in Arabic for those who didnt read the source directly and just read his comment they will understand it in a distorted way... he is a fanatical Habashi-Jabarti man dont follow his topics
