Interesting PL is popular in majority of Badhan and the border areas with Taalex and Laascaanood I was under the impression they have zero support there. SSC are competing with SL in Buuhoodle strip and with PL south of Tukoraq

What do you think of the map accuracy?

Puntland We have more towns and regions west of Badhan under our influence too, like Haylan region, Hingalol, Hadaftimo and Carmale, Yubbe all warsangeli towns near Ceerigabo under Puntland influence. Sanaag looks more or less correct except southern Sanaag, several KM south of Ceerigabo theres a Dhulo town called Fiqi Fuliye where we're also involved, more of southern Sanaag should be highlighted with orange strip

And in Sool the Dhulbahante city Xudun, Puntland are involved economically, we provide food and aid there. Evidence here Xudun should be annotated orange, or at least orange strip.

Also Badhan should be completely orange, we control that city in every possible way.

Part from that it looks ok.

Be happy with your Buuhodle strip. The rest will be split between SL and PL :umad:
The people choose saaxiib unlike borama snm didn't invade dhulo degaans cuz they knew when push comes to shove they would become extinct.
U pay us handsome salaries we will wave the Iranian looking flag.u don't we kill u and make khaatumo a reality. And u know which dhulo was burning habar isaaq in gabiley:denzelnigga::mybusiness::mjpls:? If u don't check my avatar

Xudun and Southern/central sanaag should be orange, the naleye ahmed are pro puntland generally. Ahmed Karash(naleye ahmed) is the interior minister of puntland. Buuhoodle or cayn is independent from somaliland, puntland and khaatumo.

Yep, Naleye Ahmed and Nur Ahmed communities regularly welcome Puntland in their regions.

Yes its true, they also rejected khaatumo. They believe that dhulbahante joined puntland in consensus and until that consensus is broken(all of dhulbahante agreeing to something else), they will stay with puntland.

Read the report fully. Entities with larger resource disposal and military presence exert more influence.

To aid readability of the maps, the different actors on the Somali security situation are categorised as follows: • In the fully coloured areas of the map, the respective actors have significant influence. They have resources to guarantee their influence. Those actors are: Somaliland, Puntland, the Galmudug Interim Administration (GIA), AMISOM and the Somali National Army (SNA), the Jubbaland Interim Administration (JIA), Al‑Shabaab and Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama’a (ASWJ) in Central Somalia. Some cities or villages are governed by other parties: the clan militia SSC (Dulbahante; Khatumo), the clan militias of the Warsangeli, ASWJ in Gedo region, clan militias bordering Ethiopia (in Gedo, Bakool and Hiiraan). Some areas – especially in South and Central Somalia – are influenced by two of those relevant parties. • In areas surrounded by interrupted lines, there are additional parties with restricted influence. They act in addition to the abovementioned main parties and they only have limited resources.

SL has a permanent military base in Xudun.

On 18 September 2015 Khatumo forces carried out a hit‑and‑run attack against the Somaliland forces based in Xudun

There is some degree of uncertainty when it comes to Buuhoodle and Taalex.

Concerning the towns of Buuhoodle (Togdheer) and Taalex (Sool), there are different reports and information that do not provide a basis for linking them to a relevant actor (Somaliland, Puntland, pro‑Puntland militias, pro‑Somaliland militias, SSC militia).

.

This report was published in 2015, we all know the political situation in buuhoodle as of 2017, theres no ambiguity here Buuhoodle is controlled by dhulbahante clan militia in its entirety

Since I am properly one of the few people here that drove past those controls many times I will tell you how it goes. When you
get past Gambadhe you officially enter Puntland territory and you will have to change the number plates of your car.

Las Anod to Gambadhe checkpoint - controlled by Somaliland

Tukorak to Garowe (82 km) - buffer zone of Puntland, the checkpoint in Tukorak is controlled by Puntland as it shows in the map.

Apparently there is a secret agreement between Sland and Pland that anything east of Tukorak
will be the Golan Heights of Puntland (a safe bufferzone) and that protects the capital of Puntland
Garowe.

I drove from Hargeisa to Galkayo and back. If you come from Garowe, the first sign of sland is in Laas Anod. Tukaraq was governed by Puntland and we were taxed when we came from Hargeisa, not the people but the goods were carrying. Anything between Tukaraq and LA was basically no mans land.

What I disliked about Sland is that every tuulo has a road block manned by some soldiers, and you have to pay them whenever you enter the city and when you leave the city. From Borama to Hargeisa we paid at least 12 times, and that for a 2 hours drive.

@Abdalla Gambadhe (east of Las Anod had Sland check point) but you are right the distance between Gambadhe (the last Sland
checkpoint) and Tukorak is no mans land. It depends where for example from Hargeisa to Berbera the soldiers barely ask for any
money, it is when you get to the east where you pay more and the shaxad gets worse.

Sanaag is more predictable. Only Warsangeli areas have Puntland presence.
