He's a smart guy, but he will never be allowed to be president due to being from a small clan. It's a miracle that he's even Prime Minister, to be honest. Other Hawiye subclans feel like they were entitled to that seat and feel robbed. Kheyre's only chance at being president is by pulling a Siad Barre, but moves like that are not possible in modern Somalia. There are too many powerful stakeholders within the country and outside it.
It’s crazy a qualified person can’t be pres because members of big clans feel they “deserve” it more. That’s one of Somalia’s tragedies smh.

Kheyre can definitely win in a 1P1V election. He knows how to speak to 3 demographics well.
1. The Youth (under 30) - they make up 70% of the population. He gives hope in speechs, builds stadiums etc. No matter how superficial it is, they see him as their leader.
2. Raxanweyn - they make up atleast 20% and are spread out in refugee camps all over the country. His focus on trying to help there situation with DSU housing unit development in Xamar, speaking maay maay to them etc..
3. All other Somalis - mainly half of Hawiye see him positively especially reer GM for getting rid of ASWJ. Other clans also likely to have some votes for him. He knows how to maneuver with every region/clan well.
He's a skilled orator, good at propaganda, charming and knows how to get close to powerful people.
Eg. Him and the World Bank CEO always pictured like they're closely acquainted. I trust him more to win over powerful people than any other.
