Xamza/Madoobe appear to have an understanding with Qoslasye and presumably they wont get in the way of adding 13 Benaadir seats to Somalia Italiana senate and if I was Qoslaaye I would demand Bebaadir get the same number of seats as JL/PL combined based on consensus population estimates

Banadir must be part of a federal member state so that it has representation in the federal Senate. This lack of representation is unjust IMO

There is nothing wrong with giving Banadir representation in the senate, as long as the constitution is amended to make representation in the senate based on the population of each federal state.

The bigger fairy take is believing that the Qooslaaye/Khayre clan should have 20% of Somalia Italiana senate while the confederation of Madoobe/MrCheese get 30% of the senate. Benaadir taxes and control shared by everyone via 4.5 system is a recipe for another Rooble/NuurCadde PM from beesha dhexe to emasculate the next Cheese/CabdillahYuusuf

What are you talking about? The past 5 years under Farmaajo Puntland & Jubaland states did not get a single drop of the tax money collected in xamar, its not like we even needed it to begin with. Darood is not dependent on xamar’s tax money & Farmaajo is an example when he placed embargo & waged war against those 2 states.

He’s referring to the PM/Pres power struggle. As long as Xamar is the power base of FGS and not spread equally across the country through taxation, military etc any Darood President is going to be weak
Money is fungible as economists might say @peacemaker would agree. If only Muqdisho pays federal taxes and the FGS also recieves foreign caydh and the FGS is shared between everyone then that means Muqdisho taxes/control is shared by everyone and btw tge FGS does send some of its money to the 5 FMS of Somalia Italiana but even if it didnt fund any FMS it would still mean Muqdisho taxes are federalky shared by everyone and only Muqdisho is taxed

You’ve misread my point. FGS collapses without Xamar is my point. Other states don’t contribute revenue or military equally so any Darood President is going to be dependent massively on the support of his hawiye PM.
It’s in everyone’s interest to fix this imo.
The saying Mogadishu pays only federal tax is over hyped.
Somali govt lives off donor community funding that is sent to Xamar.
That money doesn't necessary mean unuka leh.
