Muqdisho of course. Don’t know which degmo, will have to ask fam there laterWhere will he build it?
Puntland should have a huge fish factory. It would be very profitableGood strategy on the industrial park which needs to be separate from residential areas. Industrial Park needs high load energy payload infrastructure which a 'park or zone' can be fitted with. I suggested this idea to PL, but as usual their asleep. So good 4 the SFG to do this.
I urge they research 'markets' locally/regionally/globally for their product to entice investors to invest. I wanted PL govt to secure markets and present proposals to investors regarding investment vs rewards to investors. It's also important to calculate the per unit 'value' of what is being produced and measure the value pie and how it will be redistributed.
Well I’m not versed in this but I’d assume the price of exporting, then production in foreign country, then importing is expensive. We import $100m+ flour so there’s a market there if you can produce at home. The government should put tariffs on imported flour once we start producing it at home to make it more profitable.@bidenkulaha the kg value at western market is Essentials Plain Flour is $1.00 KG. No offence but the value pie is very 'low' considering the investment. The only benefit is 'storage' capabilities without 'rotting' like fresh produce which pushes their prices down due to 'spoiling'. It will be cheaper in africa possibly 20-50 cents per kilo.
Why don't they select 'good final unit' pricing investment, it spreads better below-middle-top of the chain.

It’s 16,000 not 1600. And the figure was the total imports of flour, I was saying there’s a market for producing in Somalia.Where do u get these figures from, 100 mill? Lets say a kilo is 50 cents. Their producing 1600 kilos. .50 x 1600 kilos = $800 a day. Do u realize taxes-wages-energy cost-transportation-equipments cost will eat into that. $800 X 365 day a year = 292k a year before any expenses are removed. Their revenue is low becuz the item their producing is a low price item. This is why u need economists guiding these investors to ensure what their producing will be worth it.
If u want to be rich u want to produce 1000 dollar per unit market rate goods or above. This then creates a good value pie to ensure the pyramid are all eating well from it.

The bigger issue is wheat given we have no next to no production of it.

Muqdisho is the most business friendly city in Somalia imo, if I get my break first city in Somalia I'd do business in is Xamar then Bosaso. This is good news, No more Fake news about people ' squatting ' on gov lands and Private Property.
Mogadishu is open for Business, People are receiving their properties back, And the Government is taking hold of all Government and Industrial areas previously occupied by idp's and refugees.
This is a good initiative, more factories means more job ,less tahriib to western countriesWarshadan ayaana lagu maal galiyay lacag dhan 37M waxaana sida la sheegay maalintii ay soo saari doontaa 16000 kiish oo bur ah!
