The day Israel absorbs Palestinians is when they are near extinction, demography is a big boogeyman for the Jews there. Or they change the rules, and the country is purely ethnocentric fascist with no "democratic" inclination. The Israelis are not shy about their extreme in-group preference: they would rather be the explicit evil guy with no sense of strategic excuse-concocted, artificially contrived moral high-ground posturing than give way to the Palestinians.
