Kenyas' debt trap could be on the Mombasa to Uganda border Standard Gauge Railway project. That project is massive and it was a bit inflated in costs. But in my opinion Kenya will be able to repay it as the project serves Mombasa, the biggest and busiest port in Eastern and Central Africa region.

However the rail project within Nairobi city is not overly expensive as some people here want to insinuate. The DMUs were acquired second hand from Spain. Also there was no need for new rail lines,they just rehabilitated the already existing old rail line routes around the city.
