Planet SOS: Millions displaced as Somalis flee widespread drought

Two years after the previous drought ended, Somalia is again facing one of the driest rainy seasons in more than three decades.

Climate change is leading to frequent droughts in Somalia - forcing people to leave their homes almost every two years.

The UN says more than two-and-a-half million people have been displaced.

Al Jazeera's Mohammed Adow reports from Baidoa in southwest Somalia.

When you keep chopping down trees for coal this will probably happen. And Ethiopia out here planting millions of trees. 68 IQ

Honestly, this is predictable. Over the last years or so, droughts are becoming more frequent in Somalia possibly due to global warming. People knew this was going to happen, the U.N. knew and the Somali government knew. However, as you can see they didn’t prepare for this one, and since another one is going to happen after this one. I doubt they would be prepared for the next one.
