PL needs policy institutes from a wide range of sources historical, current, future, gathering information and measuring the data and getting a whole picture before you apply policies is critical in the success of politics. They wrote a big 'hadaf' on their constitution iyo 'yoolkooda' waa in Somali la radiya. This is a big dream, is our working model working we need to review and measure year by year if we have achieved this dream, not rinse and repeat the same answers that are not working to achieve this big 'dream' or else we will become like half of these somalis who have big dreams but no 'working' model and hence it becomes 'dreams' in the end.
We have accepted the working model of Abdillahi Yusuf the elimination of HG from the south, this working model has been running now since 2004 till 2019. The first phase was a big 'buufis' program in order to capture lifelines of the capital like port, checkpoints, and airport. Now this has been achieved and in government hands with assistance of 'amisom'. I don't care how we achieve our goal and what 'methods' we use as long as it achieves the 'dream' we have agreed upon.
I think this model which continues today with consequentive governments, except 'hassan sheikh' who repeated history and supported HG to rise up, maybe he didn't know this is the clan who rejected their own ina adeer abdiqasim salat, like what the hell is a 'wacaysle' going to change an CAYR couldn't? anyways that was a lost 4 years. We are now back with 'farmaajo and kheyre' who are executing the same working model but 'lightly' not as 'excessive' on any HG spoiler.
Listen I am going to be honest with you this direction of 'destroying HG' can work but it isn't winning the hearts of the 'hawiye' people, they see the habar gedir as their 'lion' or some sort 'hero' against 'beelaha kale'. This is the image they have developed for themselves in the south, even though most of the persecution was done on them. I know a-lot of 'darods' scoff at this image of HG for various valid reasons, they do not see you as 'brave' fighting in civilian areas, but prefer u fight conventional warfare outside the city gates which HG if in this position reverts to 'hit n runs' as they are aware of the 300 years of conventional warfare history of 'darod'. They ensure the battle is always in 'civilian' areas as they developed a long track record in this 'arena' which is totally 'new' to Somali 'warfare'.
Have we caught up in this arena as darod clans? NO, we have not. If we want to destroy HG, then we need to beat them in where they 'specialize' not beg they come outside the city which obviously they won't since war is about 'winning'. They don't care how they win nor does anyone fighting care. Some clans do not hold onto tradition or culture or general rules of conduct.
This is why I prefer we review other ancient working model since we refuse to 'beat' this clan in their 'arena' and wasting Somali time for 20 years.
