Since SSC region have formed their own federal state what’s next for PL I think the best course of action is a reformation meeting with the remaining stakeholder communities in the state in order to plan the roadmap for the future which means dividing the VP and speaker positions and the parliamentary seats

The best solution is Puntland, should be part of building the SSC Federal estate like they did with Jubbaland. And they should look at the long-term to Combat HAG and their alliances.

That was Puntland’s hope, however those leading SSC and majority of its constituency don’t agree with that and have allied themselves with HAG against both PL and JL.

Not only did Puntland liberate Sool, it also recognised it as a new maamul which lead to FGS to treat it as separate from Somaliland. Initially reluctantly, then when they noticed Sool can easily be cajoled against Puntland; more wholeheartedly.
