I swear like that TikTok is gonna do anything but humiliation us. These TikTok only serve as fuel to discriminate against Somalis. Funniest part is the diaspora will be the ones subjected to said discrimination while the Somalis back home will be chilling.

y’all do realize diasporans only celebrated after seeing some old pedo crying about this fake ruling on TikTok. He stumbled upon all of our algorithms. Plenty of locals were making fun of him for crying about the situation. There’s a group of men in our society that prey on young girls. Any news about stopping these pedos will always be celebrated.

Anyways I don’t think this will have any major long term negative repercussions on us.

It will if it remains that way. The good thing is that vast majority of us want this law passed. We need to put pressure on the government to pass this law. Children must be protected from these creeps.

I only saw one woman mention that.. lol even when celebrating they should have enough sense to give us a PR win by pointing out how progressive the ban is for drawing the line at 18 unlike some other countries like the US
