I thought so too for the longest time but some make some decent arguments for them being on the Somali coast. But I think the description Herodatus gives is pretty loose and could have referred to any group of coastal Cushitic people from Southeastern Egypt down to Ras Xaafuun. Tall people to the south of Aethiopia who live mainly on meat and milk (pastoralists) and have a seafaring culture. I guess being to the south of Aethiopia may at least rule out Bejas and if the predecessors of Afars and Sahos were the same height they are now that could rule them out too but it's still nothing concrete.
