It's ridiculous when they fit Nazi ideals of 'Aryans'; I understand that even those people may have some Aboriginal ancestry but there is a point after which it becomes absurd.
What the Aboriginal people went through is heart breaking, genocided, ripped from their homes and forced into indenture, Australia today does still have a racist undertone to it, but they have really made progress the past few decades. I find it weird seeing full passing whites talking about indigenous issues, there are plenty Aboriginal men & women out there that do good work in raising awareness and helping the community out but receive less of a platform, maybe it's just my viewing this from a African tribal lens, I just find it insulting.
Those white-passing indigenous are generally the product of the harshest policies.
Many of them are descendants of aboriginals that were forcefully bred out and put in institutions to serve cadaan families or the victims of rape.
This is very recent also, like 1950s or 1960s. So within living memory of their relatives.
The aboriginals as a community generally work together and don’t let stuff like skin tone divide them. Their numbers are already small, so any division is not needed.
