People with no internal monologue.

I found out recently that there are people without an internal monologue or an inner voice.

Ever since I found out about them existing, I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Like how do they think? Are they NPCs?😂

Apparently, they tend to voice their thoughts A LOT. So maybe a very talkative person doesn't usually have an internal monologue?🤔

Check this vid out.

I have an internal monologue but I'm also pretty damn talkative so I don't know about this. But I also grew up with a habit of thinking out loud which I've tried to curb cos sometimes I might slip in public and appear insane. It's not exactly hard to think in my head, it just feels easier to say my thoughts out loud. When I hear them I take them in more and organize them better.

In what language do you think or dream? Arabic, Somali, or English? I bet you occasionally think in English despite not being a native speaker right? Lol.

Some of them don't have an internal monologue and also can't visualize things in their heads.
If you tell them to picture an apple in their head, they simple can't lol.

My theory's that these sort of people have a hard time holding two conflicting views/opinions simultaneously. They probably make up the vast majority twatter woke types and the "TAKE THE VAX!!" fucking big pharma shills lol

Almost entirely English. I speak it best and write in it best so it's usually my go-to. The gaalo have colonized my mind. They follow me into my dreams.

Just answered above.

However, in my dreams I notice Somali is more present, but when I am awake almost never.

Your subconscious wants you to return to Somaliweyn and live a humble life as a rancher away from these gaal aspirations and stresses.

They're NPCs. They're Hylics, without souls. Without an internal monologue, you have to ask the obvious question: where is the source of their thoughts? It's obviously from the collective hive mind. There are no individuals there. Just a bunch of parrots.

I don’t have internal monologue and I can’t picture things in my head, it’s called aphantasia. :kendrickcry:

I was shocked to learn that people could actually day dream and see things in their head, that sounds so cool. I only see things when I’m asleep. Otherwise if I close my head and try to see things, it’s just black. I can’t imagine a taste or a smell in my head either.

Btw it’s not common at all, only 2 % of people have aphantasia.

What happens when you read a book? Like a pretty descriptive work of fiction or when you're told a story in person? You just take the info in like cold, hard facts? No imagining things?

It's a mix of both. Most people still see black or their real surroundings but with weird flashes of the imagined thing.

Just tried it, thought of my old city and when I close my eyes it is still black but with flashes here and there of the structure I am thinking of.

You really don't see that at all?

I kind of struggle to read that because it’s hard to imagine all of that. Maybe that’s why I don’t like reading.

I tried to imagine walking around the area of my old house and I can kind of imagine it, but it’s like 5 % visual and more abstract, like a guy who is nearly blind trying to see things without glasses. There are levels of aphantasia, I’m not 100 % so that’s why I think I can do that but others would have trouble doing that.

@Apollo @Shimbiris I dream in English but my thoughts are generally in Somali or English.

Sometimes, I can think in French but that’s generally related to me thinking of scenarios in which I would have to speak it.

I never think in Arabic lol.
