There's a peace deal with the new Ethiopian admin who's been very good so far.
ONLF continues to push for independance and will run in next year's election which could be a platform to build on.
It's like saying why do people celebrate for Somaliland although it hasn't been recognised by any country?

But they didn’t get their main objective which is Independence. Somaliland may not be recognized but at least it gain its independence and runs its own thing.
