He kind of looks somali in thet pic but not the typical, but I feel like the real reason why there were so much hate under the comment section is because of three reasons. One being Somali men being typically viewed as unattractive pirates. Most people believe Somali men look like Barkhad Abdi and are ignorant about how they actually look. Two, its a trend to hate on Somalis in general these past several months, once people start to see the hate train they feel confident to join in the hate to score cool points. Three, a lot of xaasidin men particularly from the uk don't want girls to view Somali men as attractive due to nefarious reasons they always want Somali men to be the lowest of the low as they see them as a threat.

I've never seen a Somali man that looks like Barkhad in my life until I watched that show, only when I went back home did I see them, these men usually eat very little and chew khat daily, your typical western crack head of some sort.

Is extremely rare to come across barkhad, but most people in the world that thinks of Somali men believe that's how most look. We have number one worst pr to date, especially Somali men and we need to prioritise the way we represent ourselves to the world. We need our own entertainment with attractive somalis to takeover since Holywood did a great job in tarnishing somali men.

While he for sure doesn’t look African American or Ethiopian If I saw this dude on the street, I’d probably assume he would be sudani, I know I’m gonna get downvoted for this, but it’s not him being lightskin or really good looking, but more so the fact that by Somali standards, he has a rather large and robust jawline, most horners have rather narrow jaws if we’re being real and even tho I know Somali guys who have large “Chad” jawline, it’s definitely not the average or typical Somali or Horner thing, if that makes sense.

That guy looks nothing like Sudanese. I would know because I have family and am well acquainted with the diverse looks that come from that region. He has a Somali phenotype despite not looking average.

You guys don't understand how demography works with phenotype. I look Somali, but I don't look very typical. Not looking typical does not mean I don't look Somali or are suddenly typed as Ethiopian or Sudani - that is nonsense. These are not mutually exclusive concepts when it comes to typology.

Either way, I think this discussion is pointless. Who cares what other people think a Somali looks like? Somalis know who Somalis are, and that is enough.
