This is what happens when you have a shit country if our country was more developed and stable there would bot even be many diaspora somalis in the first place and we probably would have been unknown and although the hate is alot I don't really care it's a average day of "everyone shit on the somalis!" And I could not care less I have become very resistant to these hate comments but if we look deeper it's because our country is in a shit state and that we look different from other Africans that we get shit on. As well as ethiopian larpers ruining our name.
To be fair, light skinned are the minority.
Biggest reason is that “look” that makes Somalis easily distinguishable to the rest.

No we Somalis come in all shades in a family. For instance my Aba is dark like a set on new tires, but my Hooyo is light skin. So my family you get medium brown to supper light skin to the point random Arab people would start a conversation and id would state im Somalia and they would get puzzled. This topic can also be said about hair also.

While he for sure doesn’t look African American or Ethiopian If I saw this dude on the street, I’d probably assume he would be sudani, I know I’m gonna get downvoted for this, but it’s not him being lightskin or really good looking, but more so the fact that by Somali standards, he has a rather large and robust jawline, most horners have rather narrow jaws if we’re being real and even tho I know Somali guys who have large “Chad” jawline, it’s definitely not the average or typical Somali or Horner thing, if that makes sense.

He kind of looks somali in thet pic but not the typical, but I feel like the real reason why there were so much hate under the comment section is because of three reasons. One being Somali men being typically viewed as unattractive pirates. Most people believe Somali men look like Barkhad Abdi and are ignorant about how they actually look. Two, its a trend to hate on Somalis in general these past several months, once people start to see the hate train they feel confident to join in the hate to score cool points. Three, a lot of xaasidin men particularly from the uk don't want girls to view Somali men as attractive due to nefarious reasons they always want Somali men to be the lowest of the low as they see them as a threat.
