I've been think about building my own small form factor PC but the whole range of issues that could arise are pushing me off the idea. Imagine buying a new i7 9 generation CPU and bending the pins out of the pack
Or accidentally mashing a half a grand GPU trying to put the whole thing together. I've always wanted a SSF PC since they're portable and easy to look at (f*ck those overrated RGB machines, why the hell does your PC look a gay pride machine). But the non-compatible parts list is too long and confusing.
Then there's the whole problem with upcoming CPU's like Ryzen's new lineup or the new RTX cards (new gen shit) which means my shit will feel obselete if I build it now and see the new goods a year later, I can't be having buyers remorse after dropping a grand and something.
Should I wait a year or two or just go for it?
Should I get a normal case or Small for factor?
Should I get intel processors even though the CIA spies through them?
So many damn problems and all of this arose while looking for a modest AMD build. It's a never ending rabbit whole and all the while your watching weirdos drop 4K RGB monster machine just to play fucking RuneScape and Warhammer then there's me stressing about £690 graphics cards
I think I might splurge 2 thousand on next gen shit coming next year or the year after that
