Quran also states farmine comes every 7 years So Somalis need to Follow what Prophet Yusuf AS did---build storages banks to save food for seven years. Somalia needs like those Pharaoh days. Most of Puntland is semi desert with the rest being a real desert. the decline in the productivity of the land in the past 30 years can be directly attributed to out of control growth in human and animal populations. Our land cannot sustainably support more than 100k pastoralists. It is at the breaking point. Desertification is the future.

Rainfall is projected to INCREASE in Somalia over the next 100 years due to shifting weather patters globally. However, not by much. But rainfall will not go down.
