Somali parents that have 5 children on average, usually don't have time to take their children to all the games and training sessions required to make it as a professional. They usually prioritise education and deen first. It can also get expensive.
This is why I think Somali parents should work hard and try to family plan as much as possible, so that their children get a chance to achieve their dreams, instead of having children back to back without thought.

That's not true.
A lot of Somalis are naturally gifted, you can see that on playgrounds. It's just that nobody invests in their athletic dreams.
The truth is somali men will never be great at football because of how our bodies are built. But Somalia can become a great football nation in the future if recruit many of our somali bantu and bajuni brothers into the national team the same way France and other nation do with their more athletically gifted minorities.

Its comes all down to genetic predispositions for sports imo which east Africans don't posses . Same thing goes for arabs from the Arabian peninsula, timo jileecs & indhoyeer those countries can't produce anything athletically.

90 % of our genetics is shared with people from south sudan(50 %) and egypt(40 %). both of these countries are athletic and well represented in sports. plus you donβt need to be that athletic to be a football player, itβs not the NFL.

In fact most football players are all lean ( skinny but with defined muscles) due to intense cardio and need to be fast on your feet and have more so core strength rather than big muscles. Of Somalia fixed their diet and trained a whole lot more, we could be producing pro footballers. Itβs just most Somali parents didnβt encourage that whole training/academy trials life growing up
Are you fβng crazy?!? There is so much soccer talent here in America. In highschool our team went to semi final twice but got cheated iut by private christian/jewish school. So many players almost got contracts to play from universities and clubs but rejected because parents were not okay with it. I cant name anyone for privacy reasons ofc. Malnourishment or Bantu DNA, some of them are clearly Bantu/Bajuun and they tend to be shorter than Somalis on average.
