If only dams could be built and we wouldn't have this problem. When theirs lots of rain people are displaced and the water flows into the ocean if a dam is built that water could be used during drought season but here we are struck in this cycle of flood and drought it's tiring

It's quite a shame if we could build simple reservoirs using rocks and metal wires on already existing river channels, we could slow the water, and allow the land to retain the water in the soil slowly, we could plant trees near the riverbeds to hold the soil in place so it doesn't wash away, and have farming land near the rivers.

The FGS ministers held twitter space to talk about this issue. One of the reasons were that they tried to warn the ppl about the coming floods in certain areas, but the folk didn't believe them.
They talked about cholera outbreaks in the areas where the displaced relocated. Etc

I can’t blame people for being ignorant as there’s little trust between authorities and the locals. But they should’ve at least utilized clan elders and other influential people to spread the urgency evacuations.
