It's like what happened to andalus (spain). The muslims were strong, but they had problems on who should rule. How did they solve it? Yes they were being pushed back for a long time. But they slowly started to push back when andalus had a civil war. And they broke up into small states fighting each other. Sounds similar? Later after they lost much land they begged for help from the berbers kingdoms the moravidin and later al mowahidun. These guys came to help, but guess what after they defeated the christians. The andalus city states turned on them and said you guys want our throne. So the berber kingdoms went back. These guys resorted to fighting each other again amd losing land to christians. So they begged for help again, the moravids came to help. They won, the city states backstabbed them again. So finally after being tired of this the berber kingdoms stopped fighting for them and returned to north africa.

Somalia doesnt have the population to do that. If we did ogaden and nfd would've been a country. Somalia is like saudi arabia. They were nomadic people like us and thats their country. Forget the other "arabs" who are are arabised people. Saudi arabia has still a much bigger population than all of somalia.

Most Arab countries consist of Arabized countries who used to have a separate ethnic origin and identity. Berbers in the Maghreb, Ancient Egyptians in Egypt, Nubians and Beja in North Sudan, Phoenicians/Canaanites/Assyrians/Mesopotamians etc in the Levant etc.

Why do people always say that? That Somalis are like the Andalusians? The Andalusians were Arabs on foreign lands. The Somalis are the indigenous people of the HoA where they are at present, as have always been - situated. The Andalusians weren't a race of people but citizens of multiple races and multiple religions. The Somalis are homogenous and there is over 20 million of them. You can't just get rid of the race of people and take their racial heritage. We don't live in the 7th century
