Oromos fluent in Somali.

Was at the barbershop at the somali mall in minneapolis(not gonna say which one) got a haircut from an oromo dude.

The mall security guard walks in and the two start coversing in Oromo, but the security guard could regularly switch to Somali when a customer or somebody else walked in. As I'm typing this I guess it makes sense as he's security so he has to be able to speak Somali to communicate with everyone there.

I guess because they're east african they wanna set up with us. There are a few amharas there in the mall too. And everyone gets along for the most part.

My east african theory is just a theory, I don't know why Oromos always follow us, but I'm fairly certain that the east africa thing is true, in the west there's nobody more culturally similar to them than us.

I haven't heard of this attempted mosque takeover, but if true, somalis in seattle need to stay alert. They're already stealing land in Ogaden. They might try it here too.

My guess was they would slowly start going there until it was almost all Oromo, but ig that sounds ridiculous especially if they have their own masjid.

Off topic but there were once a lebanese man with his child in an area filled with somalis. I was looking at him with curious eyes so he noticed me and sat beside me with his son and started speaking what looked like fluent somali i was beyond shocked wallahi i didn't know what to say. I think he was actually laughing at my reaction.
