Honestly, Somalis would like and respect these people more if they had an identity of their own.
I saw some cute traditional images/videos of them randomly once, and I was happy for them as they looked like they had self-pride and a heritage of their own. These people don't understand that you will always look like a clown cosplaying as others.

I don't think they understand that by copying Somalis they make themselves look subservient.
Like Counterfeit Somalis, instead of what they are; a different ethnic group.
It's so embarrassing I don't know why they can't wear their own clothes or if they wear ours at least give us credit and don't try to claim it when everyone knows its purely somali.

Na it's definitely not a minority these ppl are expansionists and need to be dealt with. There's no difference between most oromos and israelis both think their neighbouring countries land was given to them 2000 yes ago and would happily genocide and displace ppl to reach their expansionist goals. My grandma used to live with them before coming to the west and until today her clan (karanle) lives in babile and have no issues with them. They live together and are fine with one another. You sound like a cadaan person talking about replacement theory.
i do not deny that oromos are in fact taking the piss but we should foster good relationships between each other imo and not stoop to their level. They have many many muslims and a lot of somalis live in their homeland of addis ababa and our words could potentially harm them
From what Iβve been seeing, itβs not diverse but they steal from whoever they border. So the ones who border the Amharics steal their stuff, the ones who border the Tigrayans wear what they wear etc.. I know the ones in harar look like Temu Hararis.

Because karanle are still the majority in Babile but when these oromos eventually outnumber the locals then thats when their plan starts. Correct me if I'm wrong but there is a whole refuge camp called qoloji which compromises of somalis and most of them fled from their cities in hararghe (most of which is now in oromia but it is historically Somali land) so they wouldn't get killed. I remember watching a video of some woman living in qoloji and her story was really sad. The oromos in her town basically told her you either become one of us or we kill you and so she had to flee with her family leaving behind her business and everything she worked hard for. Now qoloji is basically a mini city filled with idp camps and these gallas are now trying to takeover the camp which literally compromises of ppl fleeing from their violence ( I'm pretty sure there is a thread of this here in SS). All I'm trying to say walaal is that these oromos are a threat to us, if you go to Adama rn and tell ppl your somali it probably won't end good for you the cuqdad these ppl have for us is unbelievable. And you also said there are a lot of oromo muslims (which is true) but these same "Muslims" are the ones committing genocide to somalis in somali galbeed especially hararghe. The reason you don't hear of this is because foreign media outlets are forbidden to enter somali galbeed and so these atrocities are happening without any media coverage. There is literally no difference between them and Israelis and they still have the heart to call themselves Muslims. May Allah curse every single galla expansionist and inshallah they all go naar
