Noble Somali clans don’t have adopted peoples, so by definition no noble Somali clans have assimilated people.Take a deep gulp of reality juice, most noble Somali clans you know of today have mixed or assimilated people.

Source for this I don't seem to have seen any historical record for dir assimilation at the hands of oromos I've seen this claim far too much without substantiated evidenceLMAO Oromo only got that large after the devasting Ethiopian–Adal War, mainly for the Habeshas but we lost quite a bit of land & the extinction of the Harla people, the lost of quite a few DIR Clans to Oromos assimilation.
Harla were Somali speaking people who descended from Ismail Al-Jabarti so they’re darood or at least closely related to them, we didnt lose them as they still exist just no longer called “Harla” and are now assimilated into other clans I think.LMAO Oromo only got that large after the devasting Ethiopian–Adal War, mainly for the Habeshas but we lost quite a bit of land & the extinction of the Harla people, the lost of quite a few DIR Clans to Oromos assimilation.
There is something very close between maay and oromos they even sound the same. This is a noble culture.
Us Reewins also share this similar culture where we used to give citizenship to Maxaa tiri clansmen. This would usually happen after they flee their regions because of drought and other reasons. They would come to the fertile Interiverine regions and we would give them farmland and Xoolo. They would then learn the Maay language and be assimilated into one of the Reewin clans they settled with.
Oromos seem to have a very similar cultures which is very interesting.
Our language is very similar. I've even seen Oromos admit Maay is similar to their language when they hear it.There is something very close between maay and oromos they even sound the same.
