Wajaale has a checkpoint but literally the rest of the hawd is not demarcated. My own family crosses the border many times per year. My hooyo was born in a town called Dhagaxdheer and if you look on google maps you can see the border goes through the town. I never claimed Hawd is a breakaway province but I said its inhabitants view themselves as Somalilander.

Amhara or Oromo all see us as Somalis whether you classify yourself as lander,Ogaden or Ciise or Garreh etc
And all Ethiopian in general see somalis as aliens.

How many times have I seen amhara asking me if I am a lander while they are not happy to be called Amhara but Ethiopian.
