One underlooked blessing of being Somali

This tweet by a pakistani mutual of mine captures a common thought I've had a lot of times when Ive seen kurds, turks, afghans, pakis etc. all nakedly attack Islam. Even the most deviant Somalis (outside those completed disowned like Ayaan Hirsi) have to outwardly present as muslim. Open blasphemy is never tolerated

All these nations did not take Islam seriously Since the beginning
Its always fobs with the facebook lion pfps that say the most stupid basic knowledge stuff

There was always Christians and Muslims, Kurds back then didn't care about being Kurd same way Arabs didnt really care about being Arab, people identified with their qabils and religion,

Ethno-nationalism is a very new concept, back then it was you, your qabil, and God

But an argument could be made that they still had a sense of ethnic identity

Whether people like it of not the fact remains that somalia is an extremely culturally homogenous place.

Those kurds for example have multiple major dialects. Af maay and af maxa tiri which to us sound extremely diffrent would basically be considered part of the same major dialect family.

Understand what I mean first.
It always say walahi With their narcissism and belief that they are better than others just because they were born in Europe

There are some people who believed in Islam only for their own interests these peoples are the Turks who are the Romans And the Persians These two peoples did not care about Islam and never spread it. What were the Turks doing in the Balkans for 300 years? Same thing with the Persians, they were only on the religion of their king.
Even in old times there was nationalism. Read some books on Islamic history to understand.
Turks, Kurds and Persians They have a high rate of atheism. Because for their ancestors, Islam was just a matter of interests, and now it is over.
A simple example of this is during the Umayyad era. The Umayyads wanted to impose the jizya even on the Persians who had converted to Islam. At that time, the Arab leaders fought the Umayyads in Bukhara just so that the Persians Muslims would not pay the jizya
Search for Al-Harith ibn Surayj. If you find a place where the Persians and Turks put Islam before their own interests, tell me about it.I can tell you a lot about it among Arabs, Somalis, Caucasians, Berbers and Egyptians. These people who took Islam seriously

Nations with great histories find it more difficult to find solidarity with the Muslim world because their own national identity is so strong plus when the Muslim world is in shambles like it is now they find it more advantageous to rely on their national identity rather than a joint Islamic one.
