Just check under any of her posts it’s a nonstop mess of hate, attacks on her, Somalia, and her religion. She’s used to it by now and mostly ignores it, which is probably the best thing to do.

That’s the pattern though: they fixate on someone's ethnicity, religion, or looks instead of actually engaging with their policies or public service.

Then they turn around and lecture everyone else about ‘identity politics,’ when they’re the ones obsessed with it.

He’s basically on track to win now, either guaranteed or very close. I remember reading an article a day or two ago about how big a deal a DFL endorsement would be, and how securing 60% of delegates is the key.

If he wins mayor, there’s definitely going to be a big meltdown at first, but it'll pass. People forget he was a state senator for years and a very effective one, but nobody really paid much attention to him back then. He’s not like Ilhan Omar he’s going to stay focused on city issues. I don’t think he’ll get into national or global politics, or say much about AIPAC. At least, that’s how it looks for now.




It's because of the high threshold you need to reach to win, you need at least 60% and that hasn't happened for any mayoral candidate in 16 years.

People are complaining about him being a socialist, but let’s not forget. Bernie Sanders was also a socialist mayor. He transformed Burlington, the biggest city in Vermont. He faced tons of pushback at first, but ended up winning people over.

Bernie pushed a lot of the same policies Omar Fateh is now advocating, and they didn’t ruin the city in fact, they helped it:

Its because we're very active socially both online (this however can sometimes be a bad thing with dumbass trolls on tiktok for example turning people against us) and in-person especially in Muslim majority areas. And when its time for business, we just keep to ourselves, focus, accomplish our goals and continue reaching new heights in terms of achievements.

When you combine these two characteristics, people will eventually start noticing and some (especially the racists) will see it as a threat because they cannot compete or stop us so it looks like we're trying to takeover so instead they resort to complaining online and hope someone magically stops us dead in our tracks. Its the same complaints we get in Kenya. We're just unique like that I guess.

These racists are whackos. With the way they talk about Somali Americans you would think Somali inhabited towns would be crime ridden or destitute. But from what I can glean on, Minneapolis is a decent enough American city in terms of wages, housing and education. Like what is so despicable of Minneapolis, Maine and othe Somali inhabited towns? They aren't anything like Detroit or Chicago.
