Old south arabians as coastal levantine emigrants

One thing thats been bugging me for a long time is how the old south arabian script appeard so suddenly and how quickly their civilization developed. I had just assumed these guys had just fled the levant and spread through the arabian penisula and eventually reached Yemen. But the problems with that explanation is that the oldest south arabian writing appears almost instantly at the same time as the Phoenician script did which is extremely strange.

Also large groups of farmers with women and children migrating through the harsh arabian penisula just seems unrealistic even with camels. So I thought maybe I was looking at it wrong and what if instead these guys came to Yemen by sea as. There was obviously a well developed seafaring technology judging by the sea peoples. So why couldn't some people in the levant take a decent amount of ships and journey down the red sea till they reached Yemen and settle in the Highlands

this would explain the speed in which you had kingdom building happen in yemen initially.
