Old Car Vs New Car, what is your preference?

Guys are into certain brands naturally. I bought a used COUPE body style Oldsmobile last night from Wisconsin. and drove all the way back.

Damn! nice ride.

This my Car look alike. Same color, same year, same features except mine has two doors.

Lucky reer trump. Here in the UK we drive small hatchbacks because the roads are tiny and parking is difficult. My first car i will buy this summer. It will either be a ford fiesta or volkswagen.

You made me laugh saxib with the trumpian comment. You have a good taste and it looks boxy. Good fuel economy considering how gasoline is expensive in Europe.

I rode the bus in the streets of London and Amsterdam, so I have seen the narrower streets you talk about. Your cars are tiny compared to ours here.

This car I bought is old, 2000 model but drives good and sporty, has good engine and meets my expectations. Plus you won't see Somali females driving around similar models.

I usually buy used cars instead getting into a debt.

Why do you even need a car? If I lived in Europe I wouldn’t bother with one, you guys have the best public transportation, if only we had something even close to that I would throw away my car. Imagine being able to read in the train/bus on your way to work :banderas:

Trust me! old cars are the best. SOme of my dream cars are from the 1990's-2004 period. The japanese racing scene was lit and all the best cars were made back then. New cars are crap. You couldn't pay me enough to convert to electric cars until it's made absolute law everywhere.

Some classic cars i want. Some of them are hard t get tho.

I ride the trains and buses for work as well. But there is some prestige that comes with owning a decent car. The freedom to fire up the engine and go places and get there in time of your own choosing saxib is unmatched. Plus when there is an emergency, on weekends, and road trips, you need a car ready in the driveway.

Let us not forget if you are a young man, you would be losing out to guys who own cars who can show up for a date.

Guess how many silly somali women would look at your way if they know you don't own a jack shit of a car? Dude, they wouldn't even talk to a guy who owns certain models they consider outdated. It is brutal world out there.

Of course, am not talking about myself when it comes to these social opportunities. Just stating some ugly facts for the unemployed and guys who don't own a car.

Nope! it's pretty much third world coming back from work on the tube. PPl get into arguments over nothing.

Nothing like driving your own whip back from work or uni.

Beasts of the road :banderas:

Should we compose poems for the cars? you see, there is certain love a guy develops for machines like these. Sorry to say this, but a woman can not occupy where the car does for a man in many ways.

I agree saxib, sometimes you have to stand out for your own good. Plus showing your success and blessings which you worked hard for and earned is good.

There is nothing like a guy that appreciates car culture. Women will never love cars as much as men. There is just a special bond between man and machine.

I'm a car addict. When i graduate uni and get a decent paying job, the first thing i will do is sample different cars. I wanna drive em all! I love the shape of different good brand cars. For some men it's watches, others shoes but for me it's cars.

Man and his toy machines are Inseparable. Naagtii u qaadata inay gaarigayga la siman tahay waa mid ay u dhamaatay. I can let her wash it for a promotion if she likes.

A reflection of success and a taste. Even Good american women raised by good conservative parents turn into *****s as soon as one sleek machine gets parked next to them.

Do you watch jay leno's garage? walaahi the guy is living the life. He has a storage unit for his cars which number 200 vehicles. That's what i want. A nice mansion with a garage that can fit my favourite cars. Gotta keep grinding for that.

No, but I have seen his collection. He spends great amount of wealth on his collection.
That's his hobby and it's better than most millionaires spending their wealth on useless parties and gambling or drugs. It's an honest hobby and makes him more money as the price of vintage cars will only appreciate over time.

btw Yaquub, I heard getting a driver's license can be difficult in Europe. And an expensive proposition. About 3k?

Here , the training is done free through relatives who own a car, or you pay driving schools about $100 an hour. they even have Somali owned driving schools where you can call and speak to them Qaxooti style and set up an appointment. Their driving schools are rated with four stars by reviewers on Google surprisingly.

After you are ready and think you can pass the test, you call the DMV(state owned driver's licensing agency) and set an appointment. You must get a score of 70 minimum. 69 points is a fail. Most of the time people fail the first time and pass the second.

With all that training and passing down, you pay $20 for the ID/License. Technically, you can say a driver's license in the US costs $20.
