Somalia is looking to attract tourists
yeah okay with bombs going of, alshabaab roaming around they are going to get plenty of visitors alright...
These politicians in Somalia are so delusionalThey literally have a Minister with the portfolio of "Minister of tourism" talk about incompetency
Btw the dude with this job "Minister" is also the spokes person of the government and his name is "Yariisoow" which means he was born premature. Talk about premature this tourism endeavor is premature thinking. Instead of concentrating on making just half of Mogadishu safe these lunatics are thinking of something 20 years down the line
Btw this Yariidoow is from the U.K. majority of his life in the UK was spend in a Cafe shop. The only other title he had was " community activist" like plethora of Somalis consider themselves.
RIP SOMALIA! It's led by former Fadhi Ku Dirir grads from London, MN, Toronto and Melbourne
There are more important things to worry about even if they kicked the minister of tourism and the position was vacant there would be no impact whatsoeverThese politicians in Somalia are so delusional
So a gov cannot work on many issues simultaneously?
Why would they want to attract tourists? In Somalia?
Even if it was possible I still wouldn't want Somalia to become a tourist hotspot or something like that.
100% right, so so so much potential... but were talking about somalia aka bootleg/btec saudi arabia.Honestly, xamar could have one of the most beautiful beach cultures in the whole world. The perfect weather, white sand, and beautiful baby blue waters could attract so many african tourists.
The real estate around the area just needs to be developed.
If they went really hard on creating this kind of "African tropical paradise" style marketing that Zanzibar does, it could be huge.
Since we have the longest coastline, one section could be just for relaxing. Drinking at juice bars and sunbathing.
Another section down the coastline, could be for competitive sports, like surfing, kayakking, diving, beach volleyball.
Another section farther down could be sandcastle making, and it would have sand architecture, and maybe sand tunnels etc.
Another section is for enterntainment like theater, musics, clubs etc.
Another section could be for biking and jogging?
Someone would be so intrigued that they would actually walkdown the whole coastline, and do a whole tour of the coast of somalia!
Forgive me, I'm rambling.
100% right, so so so much potential... but were talking about somalia aka bootleg/btec saudi arabia.
zanzibar style with that 'east african' vibe could take us places....
Again i agree, i have never had any hate towards them. In fact i admire how they constantly create something out of nothing (to the point people brainlessly emulate them) . They're people we can take inspiration from. What's so stupid about some of these somalis, is how antagonistic they are towards american "madows" and their "culture". Most of these madows they love to hate for no reason are pan-africanists that would love to connect with somalia if only it was safer and attractive to go to.
They have money to spend, and they want to explore this "Africa" that they want to have this connection to.
Somalia could've easily positioned itself as the tourist destination for all these people and more. They could've built african themed beaches with totem poles and ancient african architecture.
Ya Allah, NEW ZEALAND built it's entire tourism sector off of LORD OF THE RINGS.
fuckin lord of the rings, a fantasy novel. The catered to them a little bit, and brought in billions in tourist dollars. Tourism is just service, creating a show, and showing people a good time.
