I was always charmed by Ifiye. Its leadership is academic and university professors.

Kaah, Ifiye, Mustaqbal, and Sincad I support. Mideeye hasn’t sold me on their vision, β€œthe youth will lead” okay lead to where lol. There’s just no vision behind them.

Kaah will win in a landslide. Thats my prediction

Yes but will they get super majority, 50%+1? If not, then the opposition can form a coalition and put Kaah offside like it happened in Eyl, and other districts.

With 5 parties entering the local councils, Puntland is headed to a dynamic multiparty system.

Mustaqbal has been holding grassroots campaign and might be the dark horse of the elections. I think they might be second biggest

I have question regarding deciding who’s the biggest 5 parties that will be in the parliament? How will that be decided? Will they look at the whole elections nationwide? Is there a possibility that a district will have dhalinyarada in the council (top 5 in the district) but nationwide dhalinyarada is outside of top 5 and therefore falls outside of parliament? So they’ll have a representation at district level but not in parliament level?

Yes, they will look at the whole elections nationwide, doesn't matter if you did good in some locations. Also dhalinyarada & Horseed aren't participating in the elections, they dropped out of the race.

Kudos on TPEC for delivering a well organized multiparty system. Changing from 3 to 5 parties is a game changer. The only remaining improvement is to allow registration of new parties every 5 year, instead of locking it for 10 years. The more parties, the better IMHO

Must give it to Kaah purely on the grounds of campaign stomping, knocking on doors, and campaigning on development and stability - granted [it] has got the advantage of being incumbent with State institutions at its disposal.

Perhaps you could brief us as to what others stands for, in your estimation? And how one differs from the other.

I think the top 5 parties will be: Kaah, Mideey, Sincad, Mustaqbal, Ifiye. they're contesting in all 33 districts except Mustaqbal (24). Other 2 parties Runcad, Shaqaalaha are contesting in less than half of the districts (16, 15 respectively). Horseed and Dhalinyarada already dropped out from the elections.

What kind of question is this.
