The month of October is undoubtedly the most important month in the history of somalis. Some of the historical events associated with October are:
Dhagaxtuur- 5th October 1949
Demonstrations that later determined somalis independence. Skirmishes broke out between demonstrators and the colonials.2 Somalis and 5 colonial soldiers died.
First hoisting Somali flag- 12th October 1954
The flag was created by Somali scholar Mohammed Awale Liban after he had been selected by the Somali labour trade union to come up with a design in preparation for independence.
The birth of the Kacaan- 21 October 1969.
It was during this day the blessed Kacaan regime came to power and made somalia a superpower in the region and the world.
