I think its weird how they keep bringing up Mota as proof of how there is no east african ancestry in these samples.

The mahgereb thing doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Because it seems unlikely there was migration from north africa to eygpt.

@Shimbiris @The alchemist take a look

another fumble not using pastoral neolithic dna smfh wish we had just one semi-competent african dna specialist as aneditor or something. so sad. nuwayrat is our best proxy on qp fwiw

Sometimes I wonder if these researchers might actually have an anti-SSA bias with the weird mental gymnastics they pull. That Karakori study deserved a blackbelt in bullshit.

You already got the snowteps kanging on twitter

Cadaans who tie themselves to this stuff are incredibly weird, wallahi. Egyptians and Arabians are literally the Middle-Easterners who are the most distant from Europeans and, especially for Egyptians from this time period with none of the later waves of Levantine and even tiny bit of Steppe, you basically have an Arabian-like population that would look immediately very brown and not remotely cadaan to any European. These people would look "ethnic" next to a Lebanese person. You're not even gonna get the rare light eyed individual like Rami Malek.

All you have to do with them is very ancient, 10kya+ West Eurasian components. There is no linguistic, historical or cultural link either. Racialism is a genuine mental illness.

A North African continuum which extends to the Levant. The Natufians also had significant North African admixture as well

Wait im confused. Are we saying that a north african pouplation moved from north africa into the Levant? I had assumed there was this pouplation based in the nile valley that had extended in different directions one towards north africa and the other towards the Levant.

There was basically some sort of continuum of ANA and Dzudzuana-like (let's call it "Anatolian" for simplicity) admixture along North-Africa and into the Southern-Levant. Back and forth migration along that continuum for like 20,000 years or more.

That's how ANA and E-M35 winds up in Natufians and that's how Anatolian winds up in the Maghreb along with mtDNA markers like U6.

Is there an accurate sub Saharan source I can run with this, I’ve been told dinka is inaccurate

@Shimbiris you and that one somalj adeer who wrote a book on somali genetics in afsomali. Should gather more people in your guy's field. And open an ancient dna lab back home. I have thr feeling that once Somalia develops a little its gonna be a major center for the study of anicent dna and archeology
