Wait, only you're Christian in your family? I didn't know you were a revert.

I wanted to convert to a liberal Protestant church. Any pointers?
Honestly I find Lutheran and liberal churches to be filled with falsehoods in order to get as much of a church attendance as possible. They'll outwardly refuse certain sins but you might find them more comfortable since you are homosexual. Are you actually planning to convert? Feel free to ask me any questions I want to help you on your journey.

Religion is about faith, not facts.

How did you become a Christian? What was the steps you took?

what:ileycry:
why has ur father stopped fasting
Most likely because he doesn't take Islam seriously. He still prays though. I followed in his foot steps by becoming a scientist and honestly I can understand why he believes in God but doesn't believe in Islam. Life's most complicated answers cannot be explained by the natural world. I'm a biologist so I spent quite a bit of time searching for the origin of human life whether it was biogenesis or abiogenesis (I even made a thread on it a couple months back in the science section of this forum). No matter how I pieced it together even if the Earth was in hot sulfuric conditions life could not have arised on it's own.

Well I first started with science. I was a deist bordering agnosticism. I looked to the origin of life and looked at concepts with astrobiology to understand if life is beyond Earth. If everything was made from non living matter our Universe could not be the only one that contained life. I used Fermi' s equation to understand life forms not taking notice to earth and biologists previous attempts to send out satellites in the Universe that illustrated humans live on Earth. Ultimately, the lack of evidence continually piling up from Mars to Europa and other planets of uninhabitable conditions for life coupled with not a grain of evidence containing potential life forms on other planets I realized that science's push to find these other life forms was rooted in something else. These institutions are continually funded despite continually coming up short. This does not happen in any other sector. It's because society as a whole has pushed against religion but more importantly it has pushed against the notion of the existence of God. This is why we now have today atheists instead of agnostics. This evidence that I have compiled from mutliple peer reviewed research institutes from the evidence of spontaneous generation being impossible to the inability to replicate a reputable Miller-Urey experiment to using Fermi' s paradox I have concluded that God exists and if we have a Creator he has sent us information about him. What you choose to accept is on your own.
