Eggs for Djibouti Somalis as I was told.I've never heard of nalo. What is it?
I never seen a light skin Northerner. Where does this myth come from?![]()
What are the differences between north and south somalis that you’ve heard?
I’ll start
Northern people tend to be more “hostile” and harsh. While southerners are more friendly.
I live in MN the queen colony of the Somali community in the west. I met all types of Somalis but never a light skinned Northerner. Even my dear neighbor who is a warsangali adeer is brown skinned, and his kids are dark as hell. Honestly the only light skinned Somalis I have met are reer Xamars. The rest of you all are capping with the '' we wuz light skinned n shiet''.the hell type of northerners you be with for you to never meet a lightie?

Northerners say say eeg instead of fiiri. That's a weird one. When I heard it the first time I thought the person was saying egg.

Northerner= Have a weird inferiority complex towards Southerners. Thus the constance out of context insults.
Southerners= Wondering why the hell do the call their canjeeros up north Laxoox
accents and dialects are unique, we should celebrate and enjoy our minor differences![]()
Same, every time I hear southern music or anything of that dialect I get very confused. They use different tones and words for thingsIt’s really not *that* minor tbh. Ever tried talking to someone with real southern like “southern” accent? Wallahi I’m asking them every other second what did you say? What does that mean? Even their jokes are lost on me![]()
