These people don’t get paid! This explains it all how for past 10 years, year after year , Somali soldiers “graduate” from US/Turkish/etc training but seem to disappear in the fight against AS.

I’m beginning to think AS doesn’t even exist anymore just well coordinated covert attacks. AS is a boogeyman used by SFG and its Western backers to keep Somalia failed state and lots of untraced money flowing in to line the pockets of the “elite” politicians. Where exactly do these terrorists hide? 90% of Somalia is dry open land with not many places to hide. there’s also big changes the IC forced Failmaajo to implement to ensure soldiers get paid more often

Saxib, i don't like false propoganda. There should be real criticism of farmaajo. Criticize his policies. Not make up shit about him. Farmaajo government was way better than all previous governments when it came to pay. They have a whole new system. No one can deny that. It's funny cause those soldiers who left the army were the ones protesting last time.

Here's the full article. The biometric system was established. "ghost soldiers" were taken out from the payroll. Soldiers received their full pay on time. If this is a new case of soldiers not getting paid since the system was established last year then we will see.

No one fears AS anymore. And people can defect do you know that? If you defect from AS then you don't get imprisoned. So they can pretend to join then defect. AS doesn't force people to join it. You join it yourself because you need money. AS job prospects are good for poor person in somalia. They will pay you and your family money to kill yourself and innocent people. All those taxation AS takes from businessowners goes to funding their military. If we manage to cut their funding, then we can reduce their power.

Better to have a job where you aren't being paid and are owed money than no job at all. Also, SNA soldiers are known for setting up their own checkpoints and charging people money to pass. The money they pocket from this business likely exceeds their salaries.
