Somaliland is gone bro, forget about it. Most of the kids born post 91 know nothing about midnimo and Somalia. And the ones before that were born during war time its too late now.

Think about young people then. Their future is still tied to Somalia because SL has no recognition. If you achieved full independence you would have more leverage, more resources from foreign aid directed to you.
Unfortunately your leaders like the status quo , until you have no ictiraaf SL politicians will fool people in to supporting them by promising recognition. But if you get independence your leaders will lose the only thing that makes people support them and they will be held accountable for what they do. That's the reality.
