Last week Somaliland tried to execute a Somali-Norwegian but cancelled the execution after Norway threatened them.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed Somaliland that they expect the death sentence against a Norwegian not to be enforced.”

Last week one of PL clans member had land dispute with another Isaaq on Hargisa court. They win the case but land wasn't given back to them. Isaaq treating anyone to come near to the dispute land.

If her son killed someone, she needs to deal with that. I get it’s unfair that it seems like the other guy gets off and her son doesn’t (if he is indeed as guilty as her son). But that’s almost beside the point. The other guy and any corruption that may have freed him is between him and Allah. She needs to worry about her own settling his debt.

I don’t know the intricacies of her case, so may Allah help her and her son if they are innocent. But I am generally sick and tired of Somali mums calaacal when their children do wrong. Oh and always dragging qabiil into the story which only escalates the violence and ends up killing more innocent people, all to protect a murderer no less. If he’s guilty - and he’s had a fair trial - and the family of the deceased have chosen to not forgive - shoot him in the head and be done with this BS.

The Norwegian guy is not the same guy that committed the crime with the Hawiye guy. These two are separate cases. The Norwegian guy was supposed to be executed last week, but Norway ordered Somaliland to stop it. Somaliland stopped the execution, not sure if he's released

The Hawiye guy is scheduled to be executed tomorrow. His partner in crime was released despite being sentenced to death
