Where does al shabaab get these weapons from?
Yemen, Iran, China, Raids on both Amisom/foreign and Somalia armed forces bases, black market, you name it. It got a lot harder for them to import weapons since losing major coastal towns like Xarardheere and Ceeldheer and thanks to the major war against them financially and militarily since last year. This is the kind of stash houses they rely on now and now they’re losing tons of their weapons and explosives in Mogadishu. The 3,000 strong new military police units + thousands of the security forces in Mogadishu are on the hunt.
