office jobs ain't easy
in terms of social interactions and what not, i'd rather be working on a construction site, or a night guard on the dolo, cause you can be on your own with your thoughts, just focus on the task. Nobody is gonna feel some type of way if you choose not to deal with them outside of work.
however in office settings (i work in a school, little different but still very similar), if you don't part take in their nonsense small talk or bogus gatherings you get ostracized with the quickness
i attended the staff christmas party earlier this year and showed them why they shouldn't insist on me showing up
the staff party was at a bar, after a few drinks i started talking bare shit. some of my co-workers who were married insisted on me guessing their age....i said they looked like they in they're 40's
they got mad as f*ck, me and the principal (some old cadaan guy) were laughing our asses off, the old man is a saqajaan and half too, he kept egging me on and asking me why i thought they were in their 40's. i said i'm used to being around my people and they age gracefully, showed off a pic of my hoyo, she's in her mid 60's and looked like she wasn't that much older then them

I got the job because I started off there as an intern and once my internship was up they decided to offer me a paying job.
