The northern regions of the somali peninsula are the first two regional governments that waged trade wars on each other. This event alone shows that the nothern regions intent to compete on the economical scale. Rather than only on the territorial scale.

We can unite on development and autonomy from the federal government. Since we both are after these goals in our own ways.

The benefits of an union are: having the majority voters, which means always having an northern in office. Afterwards the nothern politicans develop the coastal cities in the north and the capital region.
With the majority of the development going to the major northern coastal cities and the capital since it is a coastal city.

We can finally fund our businesses ourselves and be the business leaders of the nation.

We can fill the aristocracy with notherners to ensure nothern policies at all times.

Somaliland wants to rule its self in its essence. And puntland has shown the same interest in regards to governance.

This means Unless you’re at the top your naff and maal is not secure. As you can see from the current president of Somalia he hasn’t done any of the state building that he needed to do for example building the Supreme Court and ratifying a constituion with the federal states. This is because what he wants and what the federal states want is different. The federal states will outlast him so he has tried to steal there elections and place puppets and also steal the federal election. What it will lead to is him ultimately being chased from Mogadishu and federal states not recognising his gov past it’s mandate.

Somalis should follow There culture more smaller states with mutual defence and economic intergration and free movement of peoples.

That is very true as the somali peninsula has rarely been united. However the international community will not allow this to happen they will simply not recognise. Like with the secession of somaliland.

The best thing we can do is have the traditional elders of each region of the north unite properly without shenanigans. Than move on to the governments installed in hargeisa and garowe, to unite the two office for the fight for autonomy.

This we can do, the federal government is engaging in state building. However the people in the south are in turmoil and they don't have actual goals for their states like the north does.

We can put our petty grievances aside and unite on the fact that all nothern tribes will reap the fruits of the alliance. The fighting has to stop.

We cannot fight for ever until the final hour has come.

Every rebellion in the north must be met with heavily armed professionally trained soldiers point blanc we can't wait for progression any longer.
