The capital will always be mogadishu because it has the capital, the infrastructure and the strategic position. Literally every "city" looks like a village compared to it so lets talk about fixing the problems in the capital such as violence and Shabaab instead of going back a few hundreds years.

so what's the plan? Mogadishu is obviously not working out, Mogadishu is our Lagos Nigeria moved their capital to the small Abuja we should do the same. Mogadishu can become the capital once the south is liberated but major wars need to happen there, we need Battle of Mogadishu 2.0.

Why would instability follow a small secure disarmed political town with secure checkpoints, unless your saying the politicians will do the bombings which isn’t realistic, also they wouldn’t be able to get it passed the checkpoint in this case, Israel got it done with the settlements, creating a controlled town where no one comes in without a comprehensive search is a possibility
