Depends what scent profile you like. To be safe get one of the big hitters that can be used in any situation e.g Bleu de Chanel one of my favs. Then go from there and visit one of the bigger department stores and smell like yo life depends on it and try different samples. That way you find what you specifically like.

Montblanc is ass, idk what happened to mine but it completely changed odours and weakened completely after like 2 weeks, and no it wasn’t cause I got used to the smell, it just completely weakened and changed, it’s basically water/alcohol now and almost no smell

Also I personally get my fragrances froms sunnamusk or blackoudlondon bc I think the real colognes that are commercialised are overpriced and not that good, u can get similar scents for lower price and smell nicer, as person above said should should look into getting some oud, but not somw generic one u find at a Islamic store the actual professional stuff

Depends on the season and temperature of where you live. I have a few for different climates and occasions. I dont exactly want to go to the gym with noir extreme. Imo the best brand is tom ford you will be able to know the general vibe of a fragrance from its notes after some more experience.
