The Blacks and Arabs were heavily oppressed under the French and Brits more than the Germans.

They mostly joined because they thought they Could liberate their land.

The french were very violent colonisers and had the same ideologies as Nazis but to all non-white and non-christians people.

They placed laws placing blacks as inferiors and sometimes enslaved them.


The war in africa was more of a strategic one than an ideological one (such as lebenstraum and Barbarossa). Their objective was to capture the Suez canal and to deprive the brits of their lifeline which was India and the middle east for oil.

The German Military committed very heinous crimes in The Soviet Union and eastern Europe including razing villages, killing civilians and looting them.

Their crimes in Africa were minuscule when compared with the French who enslaved africans and and even forced them to join the french military, fighting for a nation that forced them to speak in french, work in labour camps, and looted their resources.

This continued until 1947. Even after this, they reluctantly left their colonies and the Algerians had to lose 1 million people in their fight against the french in 1960.
