Ive noticed people generalising baseless claims with absolute confidence as their worldview amongst somalis and i think it has to do with the fact these people are only sampling from amongst their close family i.e. they never meet other somalis outside of their family and thus never develop a proper understanding of the somali identity. This is an issue steming from our large diaspora a lot of the content and comments of somalis for somalis or others in the west is made by those who are barely clued in about their own culture
