They genuinely seem to have believe we have a secret type 4 hair population hidden away like their obsession with this is psychotic. They simply can’t accept that the average Somali does not have type 4 hair. They’re determined to portray as us as self hating which is why the cling to this false narrative that most of us have type 4 hair to the point that they’re now implying people with type 4 hair aren’t allowed to immigrate like they do a timo check before you leave Somalia lol. But this isn’t about religion, Nasriin and the incels both post negative content about Somalis and are incapable of defending Somalis but will jump to defend random ajanabis. This is an issue that affects both religious and non-religious people
No Somali cares about hair type and most families have a mix of everything. Half my family has timo adeeg and the other half has straight cadaan hair, nobody gives a fck.
Vast majority of the beautiful somali accounts that I can remember are brownskinned. She is lost, as simply as that. Many somalis in the west do not have strong connection to their culture and thus adopt the views and behaviours of foreigners. Thats what I see from the video.
Colorism is a new phenomenon in the somali peninsula. There is no written or oral history that shows that it excisted over 100 years ago. Cause of colorism is unknown, however I do think it became a problem due to the civil war. I have faith that a competent somali government would ban skin lightening cream. The creams are harmful and thus haram, which would discourage their use. Unfortunately the general population don’t know this and Im certain if they knew, their usage would become a taboo.
In central Somalia, Dhuxulow is a common nickname that still survives. Madoobe is used throughout the somaliweyn. Colorism doesn’t affect men, its stricly affects women. However, we need to point this out. A womans social standing is not determined by her skintone at all. The only issue darkskin somali women might have is bit less proposal for marriage, thats it. They are still getting proposed, just not as much due to recent lightskin obsession that can be reversed. Skintone doesn’t affects women in jobs or politics. Lightskin women only get marginally better treatment in one aspect that can be easily fixed.
For comparison, being darkskinned is a sign of low class which isn’t the case in Somalia. Lightskin somali women don’t get prefential treatment in job selection or politics.
There is a growing amount of men back home who are repulsed by lightening creams and I expect that trend to continue. What we are currently witnessing stems from weak governance.

Ajanabis are obsessed with our hair. You have the nonmadows who don’t like to see a madow group with the same kind of timo as them and the madows who feel envious over our timo so they pretend it must be relaxed or whatever. Dealing with both groups is exhausting and I can’t understand why they care so much like it’s just hair lol?
