I've watched a clip about a Somali girl who left her family because of their narcissism.

I feel like Somali parents are in a way narcissistic.

I can relate in a way, yesterday I came from work, done a long shift, came home and wanted to relax, within 15 minutes of entering the house I was ordered to cook. I was like I'm tired hoyo , then my hoyo was like "when I was your age I had 4 children, I done everything by myself, nappies didn't exist, had to wash your clothes by hand, I worked longer then 10 hours a day" etc.

It's like a competition who had life harder, also my parents talk like they have never made a mistake in their life. They praise themselves to much.

Usually in our family either hoyo cooks or one of my sisters whips up some food. Whichever sister that isn’t doing anything usually cooks.

Ngl it’s kinda messed up to tell someone who just came from work to cook.

I’m sure your mom doesn’t mean any harm btw maybe talk to her about this problem.

Do you not have sisters? How come you were asked to cook right after coming from work?


Usually in our family either hoyo cooks or one of my sisters whips up some food. Whichever sister that isn’t doing anything usually cooks.

Ngl it’s kinda messed up to tell someone who just came from work to cook.

I’m sure your mom doesn’t mean any harm btw maybe talk to her about this problem.

My younger sister went out with her friends. She should have cooked before she left. But I made sure all the food was eaten before she came home.
