An aid shipment - sent by the UAE to Somalia - has upset Somalis on social networks, because it only contains handwashing soap.
The shipment was sent from the Emirates as medical aid to counter the emerging Corona virus (Covid-19), but Somalis were shocked that it contained only soap.
The Somalis expressed their displeasure, especially that the Emirates sent two shipments to both Puntland and Somaliland (located in north-eastern Somalia) containing personal protective equipment, such as masks and protective suits, while sending soap to Somalia
